Terms

  1. You must have a computer, news-reader software, and internet access via a dial-up account or other network connection in order to use this service.  Sonic-news.com does not provide any of these features, even though we may provide help on where to obtain them.

  2. This service is available only to persons 18 years of age or older. The account may be used on only one computer at a time, which must be under the direct control of the subscriber.  The account is for personal use only, and may not be used for business or commercial purposes. Subscriber will not attempt to bypass any security and/or access features of these servers.

  3. Usenet is a public, multinational communications forum.  All articles posted are exclusively the responsibility of the person or entity posting them. Neither sonic-news.com, nor any of its providers nor intermediate servers have any control over the content of articles posted on Usenet.

  4. In absence of a court order, Sonic-news.com takes no part in investigating articles that may violate civil or criminal laws of any political jurisdiction.  Laws vary from one jurisdiction to another, and from one country to another. An article that was legally posted in one country might very easily be illegal for someone in another country to view.  You need to be aware of the laws where you live, and not knowingly download any material that violates them, or that you otherwise find offensive.  We suggest that articles that appear to violate any civil or criminal laws be directed to the appropriate law enforcement agency, or to the courts.  Articles that are claimed to violate the intellectual property rights of any person or entity will be removed upon request from the copyright holder or his authorized agent.

  5. Spam, velveeta, flooding, and/or copyright violations will not be tolerated. You acknowledge that we have no duty to provide you with posting priviledges or propogation of your posts, and may revoke your posting priviledges at will.

  6. Posting is enabled 24 hours after the first rebill (this completely stops spammers who usually use stolen credit cards.) If you need posting earlier, email support with an explanation.

  7. Prorated refunds will be given upon request for early termination and for lapses of service
