Thank you, and my apologies a.k.a. (a name that no bank would touch for credit card processing purposes) has been a 1-man operation since the beginning almost 20 years ago.

I spent years and 1000's of hours developing my proprietary hybrid usenet server architecture. And it had been years since I upgraded systems, because upgrading almost always involves breaking something.

In February there was a sudden surge of new accounts, who discovered the archeological dig of lost treasures preserved on my spool. The sudden increase in activity stressed the systems until the database server broke, and the database software refused to reinstall on an obsolete OS distro. The problems spilled downstream, with warnings and error messages filling the free disk space, causing other crashes.

So I have spent the last month upgrading everything. And things are working like clockwork now. (And no treasure was lost).

Thank you for your patience.
